I was doing well battling my depression and anxiety, doc gave me new meds. Then my mother died a few weeks ago. It has been a hard fight this time around. Trying to not let my mind go to that place again.

I’m so sorry for your loss. It’s not easy to lose someone that close to you. I’m also so proud of you for utilizing a support group and recognizing that you are now okay. It’s okay to not be okay sometimes but just remember: you are an extension of her so try to live the best life for the both of you.

I went through a similar situation 10 years ago. I had several months dealing with a leak from my flat. A plumber 'repaired it' but the leak returned months later, leading to disputes with the council and an argument between council staff and a plumber, causing me a lot of stress and depression. I went onto anti-depressants. 8 days after the leak was repaired, my mother died.

I can understand what you're going through. Please talk with doctors and see if there are any groups that help with bereavement. You will probably benefit from listening to people who have been through similar situations. Please note that grieving has several stages.

I think it will be therapeutic for you to write about your mother and what she means to you.

All I can say is how very sorry I am !!! My heart goes out to you. I imagine it will take some time to sort out the new medication and how it is working after such a devastating loss !! Continue to work closely with your psychiatrist and get a good therapist if you don’t already have one 🙏 ❤️

Thats really tough. I am so sorry for your loss. Was she sick for a long period of time? I hope you can draw close to God for comfort. When my boyfriend committed suicide 5 years ago I attended a "Griefshare" group in my neighborhood. It helped having others to talk to. You can find one online and they are free. Sending you love and prayers.🙏💞

Yeah the Lord has been my strength through all of this. She had lung cancer and fell twice and broke her back in two places. I tell myself that she is in a better place with mo pain, but I miss her terribly, I am so heart broken.

I'm so sorry to hear about your mom, lonlee1. Losing a mom is one of the hardest things I've dealt with. Their is a Bereavement Care and Share group here on HU if you want to reach out there for help as well as here. They've helped me quite a bit. Prayers, hugs, love and light.

I've lost my indescribably sweet Mama, too. Her funeral was held in mid-September.

The grief holds me captive.
