Yes, this is comforting - so often we struggle to find the right words when all a person needs is a hug and just someone to be there for them, just sit with them. A very dear friend who sadly passed away a year ago said exactly that to me « I’ll just sit with you then »when I was trying to dissuade her from coming to see me, saying that I wasn’t up to chatting etc I really miss her, she was a lovely person who always understood and lit up my life.
