Each depressive episode I experienced over the years has its own unique personality. That is the only way I can think to describe it.Anyone else experience this?

Depressions are unique
Definitely. My theory is it is a life long process and that as you experience you grow and learn. If it is different you are hopefully moving in the right direction.
Oh yeah definitely
What do you mean it’s own unique personality? Like it felt different?
Yes & no. It is hard to explain. Each one has an uniqueness but the issues are always the same. The one I am in now is just very alien to me..Sorry just can't find the words to describe completely.
Oh I’m so sorry you are in a depression, Owltail. I’m stuck in a fear right now. I need to be in the present moment so I can ‘just be’ I hope. What do you think caused your depression? Chemical or situational?
Both
Yeah this round of anxiety I’m in or whatever it is feels alien to me too. It feels so different and weird
My episodes have been up, down, sideways and come first circle. All that I can learn is which tools to use from a lifetime of depression. That’s my growth and my knowledge. And that’s moving in the right direction.
I agree i think that sometimes my depressive episodes feel different
