I like Tears for Fears. I know it is kind of crazy, but I can relate to it because of my abusive childhood. I am a die hard Tears for Fears junkie! Anybody else like them?

What kinds of music do you relate to?
I relate to this one….
This one is for me. It’s sad, but sometimes it’s ok to be on my own .
Canned Heat from the late 60's 😎 "On the road again" a real gooood track😉
Good song. Never heard of that band. Thanks!
Before your time, that was my era, late 60's😎Groovy👌
Upbeat and Positive..."Stand by You" Rachel Platten
You're never alone my friend xx
i like fight song and stand by you by Rachel Platten i also love the song this is me from the Greatest showman . And i also like iron heart by Ben and Tan 😄 i also love Fallen Angel by TIX . And any 80s or 90s rock
I like all sorts of music . In the car I listen to 80s music mostly. When I'm low I start with fight song which seems a popular choice . It's top of my search list on u tube. That usually leads on to either Roar or Bang bang . A loop of those three usually picks me up a treat .
What kinds of music do I relate to? Good question!!!! I relate to a lot of different kinds of music. It’s sad for me to hear you say you had an abusive childhood, by the way. A lot of Tears for Fears songs are good. As you can tell by my nickname on here I like the band The Goo Goo Dolls. They have some sad depressing songs but they have really positive ones too. My mother is older, a different generation, but I like some songs by Elvis Presley and the Beatles. When I’m feeling like I’m an angry woman I love to hear These Boots Were Made for Walking by Nancy Sinatra. The singer Jessica Simpson tried to do a remake of that song, but in my opinion it came off really bad. Nancy Sinatra and all of her 60s go go dancer women in that clip from when it was on television just did an amazing job with that song. That was right before I was born and that was when there was no cable tv or mtv. It’s on YouTube if you care to see it.
I like the Goo Goo Dolls. I like their song "Name" and another song by them but forget its title. ("I just Want You to Know Who I Am," is the tag line).
I like all different kinds of music. Howeverthere Are upbeat songs like yo vivire the Spanish language version of I will survive
by the queen of Salsa 💃🏼 Celia Cruz - live version on You Tube. Even if you don’t understand Spanish, the song has great
energy.
I will survive
Thank U 🙏 so much for posting this. Love 💕 this video. This was Celia Cruz’s last performance b4 her death in around 2003. Passionate performances by she and Gloria Gaynor including great performances by such Latino performers as Jose Feliciano, Marc Anthony, Gloria Estefan and Arturo Sandoval.
I’m glad you enjoyed it, Shnookie. I certainly did. Sad about it being her last appearance. Yes, I recognized some of the big names, but not all of them. It was a great performance. 💕
I didn’t recognize many of the performers In all, it was a fabulous performance. Full of so much passion and life and great that Gloria Gaynor is shown in the beginning of the video.
Hello again. I didn’t get a notification bell signal because you didn’t hit reply. Anyways, I love A LOT of songs by them. And the I just want you to know who I am song is titled Iris. What are your favorite Tears for Fears songs?
I like a lot of their music. The newest song by them that I like is called "Rivers of Mercy." It is on their Tipping Point album released this year. They have lots of little known albums since the old days when they were all over the radio. It is hard for me to say what my favorites are cause I love them all. BTW on the Goo Goo Dolls - Yes! I remember Iris now. Goo Goo Dolls also have a song called "Long Way Down." It is on the Twister soundtrack.
Yes, I remember Long Way Down and ages ago I saw the movie Twister. The Goo Goo Dolls were trying to make it big in the music industry for a long time and they were about to just quit when their song Iris became this massive hit song that ultimately saved their careers!!! The songs I know by Tears for Fears are Everybody Wants to Rule the World, Head over Heels, and Woman in Chains. It’s nice you know some of the lesser well known songs by them. I believe the famous singer Billy Joel is quoted as saying he never really knew or was sure which of his songs would be hits when he created albums. Guess that’s the crazy music business for you!!!🙂
I only relate to 80s music too as that's the years of my teens /20s hood
I love tears for fears & have seen them live & been lucky enough to meet them
Hey there Stippler, I totally adore Tears for Fears especially their song called it's a mad world as I identify it from my abusive father and on occasions my step mother. I loved the song so much I taught myself all of the words.
I love Tears for Fears! I love all kinds of music, but my favorite band is Oingo Boingo.
How about one by Linda Ronstadt "When Will I be Loved"?
I like that genre. I love Against the current, Linkin Park and Dreamcatcher. Yungblud is relatable too
I like Tears for Fears too, not a die hard fan like you, but definitely enjoy them and the 80s era of music
Unwell by Matchbox Twenty is one of my favorite songs. The first time I heard it I related to the lyrics.
Tears for Fears are brilliant, one of my favourite bands.
My all time favourite band is Madness but I like almost all music, except the pop music in the charts now.
I used to play drums and bass in a band and I deejayed too.
What's your face Tears for Fears song? it's hard to choose one.
Hard to say because I love so much of their music. I suppose right now my 2 faves would be Ladybird and Rivers of Mercy. But neither of these are played on the radio. (at least not that I have heard).
I'm the same with choosing a favourite, I like to many of their songs.
I'd like to see them in concert.
I love led zeppelin stairway toHeaven
At 74, I have lived through many styles of music, from Classical, to Swing and Jazz, on up into the 50's (The Venture's Walk don't Run was an early fave)then the 60's. Elvis, Cliff Richard, Billy Fury, Marty Wylde, Adam Faith, John Leyton, then the Beatles and Rolling Stones, Paul Revere and the Raiders, the Monkees ,Tom Jones, Englebert H, Georgie Fame and the Blue Flames, This was the age of the Doom and Gloom stuff where people die horrible deaths for love (Ebony Eyes, My Darling Jane, Leader of the Pack, etc.), then on to Ska and Reggae, and since then I have pretty much lost count of all the Girl bands and Boy bands, and have gone on mainly to heavy metal, which lasts the course, and of course, Queen! All Time Favourite!
Cheers, Midori
