Hello everyone on here. Hope everyone’s had a good weekend. I wanted to touch on the subject of movies. I’ve always enjoyed watching a good movie. Staying home, relaxing and watching a FEEL GOOD MOVIE. The movies I’m talking about, are movies that take you to that special place or time when you saw it. In addition, some movies that I watch, give me such a good vibe. Some of these movies for me are Rocky, The Godfather, Seabiscuit,Rear Window,March Of The Wooden Soldiers. A lot of these movies just give me such a good feeling, that I can watch them many times over and over. Aside from bringing memories of the time I saw them, they just give me that really good positive vibe. My daughter feels the same way. She says Pretty In Pink, is one of her FEEL GOOD MOVIES. She’s got a few other FEEL GOOD MOVIES. Anyways I hope everyone’s having a blessed Sunday. A friend………..SAMSON

Feel good movies
Mine has got to be Matilda or Home alone ☺️
47 ronin .. this might be a bitter sweet choice but the range of emotions and the relations of the characters make for such an impact throughout, that the ending is very satisfying even in its melancholy.
Princess Bride .. just silly enough to never get you down and a complete happy ending with all arcs being wrapped up.
Groundhog Day .. a masterpiece of a film even by the standards of this era. A story of self discovery and personal growth.
My favorites are
The Road to Perdition (Tom Hanks, Paul Newman, Daniel Craig 2002)
Jackie Brown (Pam Grier, Samuel L Jackson, Robert Di Nero, Bridget Fonda 1997)
I, Robot (Will Smith, Bridget Moynahan 2006)
Homefront (Jason Statham, James Franco, Winona Ryder 2013)
Last Action Hero (Arnold Schwarzenegger Charles Dance 1993)
Seeking a Friend for the End of the World (Steve Carell, Keira Knightley 2012)
"As Good As It Gets""Forest Gump"
"Pretty Woman"
" When Harry Met Sally"
"Fried Green Tomatoes "
"Step Mom"
"The Blue Lagoon "
"Hotel Rwanda"
"Coming to America "
"Single White Female"
My absolute faves have got to be-
Grease
Pretty woman
Notting hill
Love actually (of course!)
The great escape
Secretariat 🐎…screaming like a banshee when he won the Belmont by 31 lengths!
Miracle On Ice……Love a good underdog movie. Especially a true one. The US kicked backsides!
There’s so many to choose from, but one of my favourites is Forrest. Gump
Well, I'm a big 74 year old kid; so I love animations, especially if the graphics are good.
How to Train your Dragon( movies, shorts and TV series) although I'm as yet unsure of the new version; Just about anything Disney animation (also the two Tron films) also many Dreamworld and Pixar.
I also enjoy the Aardman movies.
Live action comes with things like Silent Running, and many sci-fi movies, Blade Runner although I haven't seen the second one yet; Galaxy Quest, the Terminators, Robocop, the Star Trek Movies, although I'm woefully behind with the newer ones. Star Wars (again, behind on the newer ones). In some ways I prefer the older ones, nowadays they all seem to blend into each other.
Not really keen on the newer ones in the DC- Marvel universe, they are coming out too thick and fast! Slow Down, Warner Bros!
I also loved the original Karate Kid films, with Pat Morita.
I'm mostly watching TV stuff now, and Youtube. I refuse to pay for streaming channels, (I'm a pensioner, not enough money!) I prefer to buy DVDs.
I greatly prefer the older films, like the Old westerns, and The original Wicker Man is a great favourite. Also some of the more oddball films, such as Chocolat, My favourite of J Depp's films.
I also enjoy (certain) of the movies produced from Sir Terry Pratchett's books, in particular, Hogfather and Going Postal. Colour of Magic was miscast, as David Jason was too old to play Rincewind (although I usually like his work). Rincewind was supposed to be young, skinny and with a good turn of speed as he spends most of his time running away from things! (Do not mention that horror that was the TV adaptation called The Watch!)
I also loved Good Omens which was a collaboration with Neil Gaiman. although I have yet to see Good Omens 2.
I used to love animal films, but now they seem so schmaltzy. Think the last I watched was Marley and Me.
Oh , I must not forget the great Robin Williams. Everything he did, even the One Hour Photo was amazing.
Cheers, Midori
Waiting , dead pool 1 and 2, anything marvel also Shrek and minons
Cinema Paradiso, I love it but feel a little sad at the opening as the old Italian mama reminds me of me. The Year of Living Dangerously always a favourite and the Twilight Samurai (Japanese film nothing to do with Tom Cruise, ugh!) youtube.com/watch?v=GXvJmve...
The television here in glasgow is grap at the moment the beginning of the week hope it gets better
I’d like to watch Grease but now I feel rather sad about it given that Olivia Newton John recently passed away from cancer. She’s a beautiful person inside and out.
