Baby shower

I was just invited through a forwarded text to a coworkers baby shower. I have never spoken to her before and a friend of hers sent it to my boss to send out through the office. I went to introduce myself to the mom to be and said something to the extent of, “hi I’m such and such my boss sent me an invite just wanted to introduce myself to you.” She replied with, “oh she sent it around.” Overall the interaction was awkward but she was nice. However she had a tone like oh. But should I go? Do you think she doesn’t want us there? Or am I reading too much into it?

Yes! No Mind Reading. Relax, you gonna be one of many. Breeze in, be nice & leave then ya please. Go big thing, ‘gotta go’. All done. No bloodshed.

I would go. She’d be happy to get something for her baby.
