Bad anxiety

My anxiety has been really bad the past couple weeks and i don’t really know what to do

Hi and thanks for your post. I don't know if you have access to any self help books or which country you live in so I will begin by recommending searching online "anxiety help". There are lots of good organisations dedicated to helping anxiety sufferers. Most have phone support services available 24/7.For immediate relief from anxiety try to acknowledge the anxious thoughts (say to yourself, aha anxiety there you are) and then either do something to distract yourself or sit and wait through the anxiety which usually peaks and subsides with 10 minutes.

A good mental trick is to imagine anxious feeling like a surf break. The wave builds to a peak, rolls on down to the beach and then is no more. You might even imagine yourself surfing the wave.

If you need expert help speak with your primary care doctor or consult a clinical psychologist.

If you are a student, you can access help via student services.

Workers often have access to a free & confidential employee assistance program (EAP).

Of course we can offer tips from our ĺived experience too. Nothing works for everyone but see what works for you.

Anxiety is one tricky condition if left untreated.

I am so sorry-you are not alone.

I’m with you there. I just suffer. All I can do, till I find relief. I ride that wave until it subsides, & it does.
