Pollyanna's Glad Game...

I Recently Had To Go Renew My Medicaid After 2 Years Of The State Just Doing It For Me Because Of Covid's Shutdown, And I Was Sitting There Waiting For My Interview With Gave My Mind Lots Of Opportunity To Keep Sprouting Negative Thoughts. Mostly Thoughts Of Guilt, And Being Undeserving Of Help. They Had A Disney Movie Playing On The VCR On The Wall And I Thought Of Pollyanna And Her Glad Game. I Decided That This Is A Good Tool To Use! So From Now On, Every Time My Mind Comes To Torment Me, I'm Going To Try To Change The Thought To Some Reason I'm Glad Of. So My Thought Was "I'm Glad I Haven't Had To Use The Medicaid To Go To The Dr Except For Check Ups Lately." And "I'm Glad Some Of Our Taxes Are Going To Helping That Man/That Woman/That Child Get To See A Dr." Thanks Pollyanna!

Great tactic to use. I usually try to look on the bright side too.

Unless I'm overwhelmed by anxiety and/or stress (cuz sometimes my minds gets too irrational), I try to find something that I am grateful for as well.

Even if it means having air in my lungs.

I thoroughly agree and I always attempt to use the Glad Game to find something positive in the negatives Life throws at me!

I also use the Thumper one too 'if you can't say anything nice, don't say anything at all'

Cheers, Midori
