dooms day for me

Well my anxiety is full force today until I figure something out. My stepfather has sent a legal letter evicting me from the house he owns that I'm living in alone. He plans on selling the house. UGH. Might as well be dead to everyone who knows me. No point of me being here anymore. Need a legit address so i can keep my medicaid and food stamps which I no longer will have. I dont even know where I'll be going or even sleeping. I wont be able to take any of my meds or any of my appts for my primary dr and the prescribing dr and the therapist.

Sorry. I lost my home too and we all moved in with in laws a year ago. It's hard. Can you stay with any family or friends for a bit?

Melhall, I don't have anyone to help out like that. My one support person only stays at family members houses when she is not dog sitting. My next door neighbors have a full house since they have 3 kids.

The only thing I can think of is temporary shelter and check out government assistance for housing. If you are on disability or low income they can help. How soon do you have to leave?

I'm not on disability at all. Shelters take months to get into and one of them is only for a weeks period

I'm so sorry. Can you work full time and get a studio apartment??

is he doing this in spite of something that's happened or is it just for financial reasons.just wondered if he could help you find a new home.

that's awful specially at this time of the year in the uk if its private let they have to give you 4 weeks notice.lets hope its on the market for a while then and that gives you time to sort something out.

Oh this is tough. If he is the legal owner I guess he has the right to sell his property if he wants to.

How about a compromise - you could agree to move out immediately if he funds the deposit for a new rented home and maybe pays the first few months rent until you get back on your feet? x

huypercat54 i'm not taking the risk of asking him questions to help out. I already told him about my anxiety and being out of work til i'm stable and he didn't want to hear it

Ok. Sorry I have no more ideas then. I wish you luck. x
