I'm currently a student at University, and, likewise, I recently realized how much my home accomodated for everything my brain has to deal with.
Also, my girlfriend was diagnosed with clinical depression in high school, and I want to support her as best I can, so I thought I would join this forum. I really want to understand what she is feeling and how I can help her the most. For the sake of our relationship, I feel like there is a need for us to do some research. We love each other so much and would hate to inflict any unintentional pain.
Be sure to reach out if any of you have some good music to share. I love to play the guitar in my freetime, as well as find the newest indie/pop songs (Rex Orange County, Mt. Joy, dodie, Still Woozy, etc.). I appreciate you taking the time to read all of this

Welcome !! AWW that's is so sweet! I hope this platform helps you. Depending on where you live, there are support groups for family/friends. I know NAMI does something like that. Mental Health of America and Depression and Bipolar Support Alliance might have some similar resources. i like those bands too! Check out Caamp or WILLOW or cough syrup by young the giant.
Okay! Thank you so so much! You are so sweet. I actually love WILLOW and Caamp, too ("No Sleep" is a nice song). Also, "Cough Syrup" is literally an anthem! Awesome suggestions. These are great resources. I'll be sure to check them out!
