My Parents Are Toxic

My parents gave me anxiety and depression. They make all of us kids feel terrible about ourselves. They don't necessarily care about our feelings. As long as they can't feel it, it's fine.

It makes me sad to read you are going through this. I grew up the same way.

I left home at your age. I had to get away. But the wounds went with me.

It's not right to be treated this way. There is something wrong with them, they just don't know what to give. It probably all stems from their own childhood. However, we are left to put our parts back together and it hurts.

My parents had a good childhood. I just hope that they don't/aren't treating the little kids this way.
