I’ve been dealing with Anxiety for since I was a teenager. It’s been decades of shoving intensely gripping fear down and charging forward. The struggle finally got to me last year. Something happened inside where I couldn’t stop working and the horrible routine I established became so negative that those closest to me started to leave. It’s been sad for me to admit everything I worked for isn’t what I wanted, it was only a way to cope with inner pain. I found if I didn’t work I’d stay in bed for a week social interactions are too painful. If I do work I eventually don’t sleep and become paranoid and short tempered. The swings in mood are too much for me to deal with alone and my paranoia doesn’t allow me to open up to those closest to me. Drugs and drinking have been a temporary escape but it gets old after awhile. I’m at a complete loss of where to go and what to do.

Drinking is very dangerous in such conditions, it can make your condition even worse, the only way to deal with depression and anxiety is through psychotherapy and coping techniques. You can search them online and go to a medical expert for counseling. I am sure this will work for you and do share your thoughts to your friends and family as emotional support is much needed to overcome mental health issues. Don't hold yourself back. Take part in your surrounding activities so that you can make yourself busy. I am sure these things will work for you.
Drinking is something I’ve done since I was a teenager for reasons I can’t remember anymore. The way I shut off when my anxiety takes over isn’t fun to be around. Coping mechanisms like breathing have been helping. Talking about it is something very new. Thank you for the response. I really appreciate it.
