I recently made a post explaining how I have missed a period, my last one being the 25/26th of November. I am 1000% not pregnant. My doctor sent me for bloods on Wednesday and on the Friday the came back normal. I was told the only thing was my hormones and I had to make a routine app with my Dr. Later that night I had tummy pain so phoned my out of hour doctor and she told me all my blood were normal??? So now I am confused and scared. Why have I missed my period 😭 is it my weight? Stress? I think I’m also experiencing IBS ( sorry if this is TMI )
I really can’t settle or relax it’s always at the back of my mind😭 with my crippling health anxiety I’m automatically assuming the worst, cancer, disease ect 😭
Sorry if this is to much information I’m just really worried x

It is not uncommon for women to miss their period once in a while. You can also get extra heavy periods. Sometimes they regulate your hormones either way. It could be she wants to wait to see if this happens again. They would have told you if you were underweight.
I recently read that the Covid vaccine can interrupt your cycle. Don’t worry, these things can happen for all sorts of reasons, weight, anxiety. Just take a deep breath,
Get 6-8 hours of sleep each night, lack of sleep is anxiety fuel. No caffeine etc. Get 45 minutes of cardio exercise daily to produce endorphins and tire you out. Do 2 rounds of the 3 round Wim Hof guided breathing exercises free on you tube. Before you get out of bed. Can be done before a meal. Take a cool 5 minute rinse after your shower. With the goal of a pure cold shower 3 months later. Google cold shower therapy for mental health. Make sure heart is ok before exercise and cold water.
Ask your gynecologist for an ultrasound. You could have cysts, or signs of Polycystic ovarian syndrome (PCOS), especially if you are overweight (though you don’t have to be). Point is, there are many things it can be, without being the really scary ones our minds always take us to first. To help calm your mind, get another appt, then get busy in real life with things that help distract you from it. This will help you stay in the present vs trying to figure out all of the what ifs! Tell yourself, though I don’t want it to be anything really bad, such as cancer etc, i accept the fact that it could be be something scary. That doesn’t mean it is, just that you understand it could be (yes it could be. There’s no way anyone can assure you with 100%certainty that it isn’t. But when we have health anxiety, we always assume the “chance it’s something really bad is 100%! Whereas it can just as likely only be .0001% chance it is! I’ve been told the one thing that will keep our fears going is to have those things we won’t/can’t accept. Such as “I can accept anything but X”. That ‘X’ will be the thing that will keep our anxiety on overdrive!! But get the appt made with your gynecologist, rule out things so you can start to feel better physically as well as mentally!
