Hi everyone, I'm new to this and haven't posted before. Below is really just my thoughts at the moment, any advice is welcome though.
I know if I eat healthier and exercise more I'll feel better and maybe that's all I need to do... but it's so hard to find the energy and the will to actually do that. Work has been super stressful this year too so I find that I have even less energy when I get home so I tend to just eat fast food and sleep. I don't know if this is just stress and fatigue, or is it depression? I feel awkward taking about it so I haven't said anything to my doctor yet. I feel like I just need a lifestyle change but how do I find the energy for that?

I would say just do what you can . Make small changes that you can handle rather than try to do a sweeping overhaul. Rome wasn't built in a day.
Hi Teach14.
Talk to your doctor. It sounds more like low mood as opposed to full blown depression. Talk to your doc now.
I so hear what your saying.... if I had wonderful salads and food delivered ready to eat, I'd eat healthier... and if I had a trainer come in and move my body for me.. I'd get exorcise, but I am a long covid sufferer now, and I don't have the energy to go up and down the hall these days. So we just do what we can, I do take vit. D, and try to put lemon juice on my chicken and rice for a little vit. C... but sadly, that's about it for now. I live in hope though to have energy again.
Well, it looks more towards anxiety rather than depression, yes a healthy lifestyle, eating habits & cope-up strategies( exercises, deep breathing)help you to get better but counseling would help you more. Don't take medicine it will affect your mood badly. It looks like you are on a very initial stage so you can manage this situation by doing some lifestyle changes. You can try counseling as well it is the best option for you.
