Transitioning from Lexapro to Cymbalta; advice?

My shrink is looking at the effects of my current 30 mg daily dose of lexapro in light of a recent diagnosis of migraine headaches. She directed me to begin transitioning to cymbalta, as she thinks it would be all-around better for everything from nerve pain (cervical spondylosis) to anxiety to the headaches. My initial research doesn't show cymbalta in a favorable light overall, with just a 53% positive rating.

Starting today, I'm taking 30 mg cymbalta in the morning, and reducing the lexapro to 20 mg at night, for the first week. Second week is 30 mg cymbalta in the morning, again in the afternoon, and 10 mg lex at night for the second week, then 2x a day 30 mg cymbalta only.

How will I know if the cymbalta is working or not? What should I watch for?

Hi there, I just read your message and wanted to say good luck switching from Lexapro to Cymbalta. I also take 30 mg of Lexapro. I have tried to cut down to 20 mg but I had awful side effects. One time, I tried switching to Zoloft, but it didn't go well. How long have you been taking Lexapro ?

Since July 2018. I first went to 20 mg, then increased to 30 when I was still anxious. So far, I haven't noticed any significant side effects with the transition. Tomorrow I reduce to 10 mg lexapro and start the 2 30mg cymbalta doses. I also started propranolol for migraine prevention. My only concern now is that I will be too fatigued to work out.
