Some recent posts from people who are doing their very best to recover from debilitating anxiety and related symptoms (e.g. depression and a whole host of physical symptoms), have inspired me to jot down the following quotes that, with the benefit of hindsight, sum up what it takes to recover.
1. You won't move forward if you are standing still.
2. Feel the fear and do it any way (linked to 1.)
3. You won't get better until you stop trying to get better.
4. Doing nothing (about your anxiety) works! (linked to 3.)
None of the above should be news to any one who has read some of my posts on this forum but more than happy to explain the meaning behind them. In my opinion, if you understand the meaning of any one of the above and applying it to your life, recovery is inevitable and just a matter of time.
