Hello everyone...why am I sooo scared to start my new medicine? Dr. prescribed a new one to enhance my sertraline...Wellbutrin. A very low dose.
I’ve been slipping into that dark place again ... too much crying..along with all the other awful scary feelings.

Wellbutrin is a good med to try,, according to info online. I always look meds up. Taking more than 1 antidepressant is common. Trying new med is sometimes scary because of potential side effects. I've been quite fortunate that with a trial of a dozen meds or more and umpteen dose changes, I've not had more than mild side effects when starting them. The best to you.
Hi Deebeee,Its enough of a struggle feeling low and struggling to get through each day, without the added challenge of change to your routine. Trust your gp and give it a try, at least then you will be able to say you tried it. Good luck
When you already feel down it can be hard to start a new medication. I start to think will this help? How long will it take to work? What if I have to taper off the new medication and try something else? I am very lucky. My psychiatrist is excellent and everything he has ever added or increased has helped. The only thing I said no to was adding a sleeping pill. I take Melatonin instead. Try the new medication and keep us posted. There is always someone here.

I’m a very very sad person from the inside out....it really frustrates me that I can’t figure out why??

Still trying to get the courage to start my Wellbutrin. I keep stalling.. afraid of the extra anxiety side effect . I argue with myself and end up backing out.

Good morning.I'm sorry you're feeling so bad today. Sometimes with depression the "why" doesn't matter in the moment. Trying to figure it out can make our feelings worse and beats up our self esteem. If you are still concerned about the Wellbutrin could you call your doctor and ask for a different medication? I have been told by my doctor that Effexor works for both depression and anxiety. That is why I was prescribed Effexor instead of another medication.
Do you have a therapist? If you do they may be able to help you find some coping tools to help. The people in this group are also wonderful about sharing what helps them. Post anytime and ask. We understand and really care about each other.
I am doing alright. I have good days and bad ones. But I do the best I can. Right now it's early morning and I'm enjoying a quiet house and a quiet world. Sipping my coffee and trying to bring some of the peace and quiet within to help the rest of the day.
