The gastroscopy yesterday, was a bit uncomfortable only had a throat spray so I could drive home after. Well had a few problems due to my dr telling me a few years ago that I did not need to take acid meds everyday as I was doing and to only take them when needed ! so I followed his instructions ! But has caused a lot of damage to my stomach, Gastroscopy report,Barrets Epithelium,
Gastritis mild flat, they took 4 biopsys have to wait for results, the Barrets Epithelium can turn into cancer, put its not near that stage yet, The hospital have told my dr to review meds and that I must take acid meds every day ! There is also erosive damage to my throat, so do some research as well as a dr advice !

I suffer from reflux, need Gaviscon daily. Am always slightly worried it' ll. morph into something worse. That worry doesn't stop me sometimes overeating or eating triggering foods.
I hope the Barret's stays stable for you.To be honest, the thought of those tests alone is enough to scare me! Thanks for your advice.
Have you had a colonoscopy? Also a test for ulcers? I also get colon polyps and ulcers and Barrett’s esophagus. Anything that could go wrong with my stomach does. I feel for you.
I've had 6 endoscopies. I have had gastritis several times and I suffer from severe reflux. I'm on Protonix and I take tums or pepto on the side and still no relief. I've had it since my early 20s and it would come and go but once I hit 33 it became so bad. I'm 36 now. I had dilation done last time and found out now I have nutcracker esophagus. Its awful. My heart goes out to you. I hope you feel better and find relief.
I'm glad the test is over. Waiting for biopsies feels like it takes forever. Hopefully the treatment plan works for you. Positive 🐬 vibes coming your way.
I have Barrett’s esophagus. It’s what we call in the states. Was diagnosed in 2017. I had acid reflux that was silent. Got a bed that raises so I’m almost sitting up. Helps a lot.
I hope everything turns out ok for you! I 'm having an endoscopy on the 19th. Have had upper GI problems the past few years, everything from gastritis, esophagitis to peptic and duodenal ulcers. Meds don't seem to help a lot. Pantoprazole no longer works, Dexilant not much better(plus too expensive), Esomeprazole didn't do much. Right now am on prescription strength Omeprazole in the am with a pepcid at bedtime. My stomach continues to bother me. Am not able to eat much and only certain things. I don't eat spicy or fatty foods, don't drink. Am anxious to find out what's going on. Last endoscopy was in March. I long to eat something decent for a change!! Half the time I have no appetite. I just want relief!!
