I don't know what to do anymore. I have constant thoughts of ending my life. I am so depressed and constantly anxious. My work is the biggest culprit. I am so unhappy and have a million deadlines that I am not going to make. I was admitted to a psychiatric facility about three months ago and now I feel worse than before I got admitted. I really don't know what to do with these suicidal thoughts. I need help but can't talk to my boss as they don't get or understand mental health issues in the slightest.

I'm thinking of ending things.
Hi, I was where you are a year ago! It was scary, and added more stress and anxiety! I kept thinking of my kids, my nieces, my Mom and brother! I have seen what the ones left behind go through! I didn’t want to do that to my loved ones! It WILL get better! I promise you! May not be today or tomorrow or even next week! But it WILL get better! Stay strong, don’t be afraid to get help! Seek a second opinion! It could be your meds need tweaking! Just keep fighting! Fight for YOU! 😘
Please don’t give up! You are very young and things can change. Find someone to talk to, do something you love, go for a walk outside. Also make time to pray to God, tell him how you are feeling and that you need help!
I’m giving you a hug.

Hello, please stay strong. I am having a depressive episode and am just trying my best to come out of it. I am on antidepressants since 2014. Please remember that you are not alone and I promise that in a little while things will get better. I know a lot of people don't understand depression but it is very strong of us that we understand it and we will fight it. Take care.
I want you to be able to find those feelings which make you feel alive and worthy. What do you really enjoy doing?Exercise, walk underneath trees, listen to music
Workwise try and give yourself a schedule that you can handle and keep to and have regular breaks to drink a tea or look at pictures of animals
I get anxious about my work and these are the things I do to try and help
Maybe your bosses need to be educated on mental health. Sounds like they may be overloading your work load. Hope things will work out for you. It takes time.
Please keep coming here to HU and continue to talk about how you are feeling, anxiouslittlecat. We all care, every single one of us. Is there someone close to you who you can talk to, someone you can sit down with?
Please don't give up, and you can try journaling or CBT. People here are friendly, many of them can you out, try reaching out to them as well. Last but not least, try to get some professional help from an expert (must) before taking any step. Many many best wishes from my side.
please think again you never know what`s around the corner life can change for the better if we keep at it.
Don't give up! You are precious and a gift! You are worth it! Please find a crisis hotline and talk to someone. Don't let the demons within win; fight for your life. {{HUGS}}
I'm so sorry you're hurting. I can relate as I've been struggling a lot with constant suicidal thoughts - it's so, so hard. I struggle not knowing what to do with the thoughts, either, it feels like nothing helps. Lately, I've just been focusing on getting through a day, an hour, even, at a time. I'm sending my best wishes to you.
Psych facilities are not the end all. It means nothing except it affords a place to be safe. Keep trying with some new treatment as well as resting your soul. You deserve to find your peace and live from there. You're young yet with lots of good times ahead.
I used to get myself through by realizing I was far too stubborn to give up and especially to let a job or bad boss win out over my own life! Like, they’re not going to take it from me!
Practically speaking though, you might try getting a job coach or a personal therapist to help transition you back to work. It’s a LOT to come back to full over-work after being out. That’s a steep hill and way too much change for most people much less someone sensitive.
Is there any disability support or worker mental health protection in SA? It would be good to know your true rights.
