Inability to complete daily activities or household

Do you ever wake up with goals set out for the day, and you think you're ready to seize the day? Then as the day continues you realize that you haven't completed almost any tasks on your list and then you just lose the energy or desire to do anything further. I get so disappointed in myself when I get this way lately, because I know I can do better. There's been days lately when I know I have something really important to take care of, but I find myself having difficulty even getting out of bed to brush my teeth and eat. I don't know what to do about it other than to vent, hopefully I can get some ideas on how to break out this habit of when I become disappointed in myself I began to feel unable to move around or clean up, and get things done.

I'm glad I'm not the only one... But what do you usually do to break out of it when this happens?

I try to motivate myself somehow add a fun twist to it 😁 or incorporate something that i like with it

That's awesome ☺️. I have to give it a try, because doing nothing about it makes me feel like a failure at times.

Try to find what motivates you ☺️ if you find that you can add that to your daily routine and then it will become habitual and before you know it you will do it without hesitation 🙏 it takes time and practice though

👋 My psychologist gave me this trick to overcome apathy. We need to get our feet out of the bed and onto the floor. Grounding tells your brain to get you moving to do something, anything but staying in bed! Starting and finishing anything is a winner. If you can do one more thing, great but if not, just remember you are doing the best you can for the day. Regards from Australia 🦘
