What if I can't love myself? Will I always be alone?

I'm scared I may always have low self esteem and self value. Im trying therapy and medication but it hasn't come up well. I crave affection alot and I feel I have plenty to give someone, I just here evryone say you have to love yourself first. I'm scared that may not be an option for me. Any advice would be appreciated.

I wish I could experience in having a taster of your brown bread, l bet it’s lovely. You are a good listener & have a way with words. We all have our strength & weaknesses. Concentrate on our strengths before we can solve our weaknesses.

You are a very young person to be so negative. What don't you like about yourself? Are you working? You might better relate to the younger members on here.It is good that you say you have plenty to give.

Sweet friend, I am so sorry you are struggling like this. I commend you on therapy and medication. How long have you been in therapy and on medication?Those are great things to do to help. Have you considered volunteering somewhere? I have found it always is so motivating and feels so good to give back. A local food pantry, Meals on Wheels, etc. Another thought is to start a journal where you write down things that you are grateful for and also things that you did well each day. I am sending a huge hug your way right now!

I'm doing the work necessary., and I can't imagine loving myself either. I am so mean to myself. So don't think about achieving it. With therapy, it will slowly happen. If I'm told to be kind to myself, I roll my eyes, but keep on the path. You're going to make it!!
