It's only taken about 15 odd years but I finally relented and went to the doctor as I was getting crazy physical symptoms from anxiety.
Palpitations and what felt like vertigo or dizziness, heavy cheat, so the Doc did an ECG it all came back fine.
Explained the situation of losing my mother 9 months ago and having to do CPR on her as well as having to do CPR on my next door neighbour as well as losing my dog 2 months after my mother as well as being a carer for my dad with MS.
So they have started me on Sertraline 50mg , it's a start it was pretty liberating just being open and honest with the Doc in regards about suicidal thoughts and self harm also.

Hi cj2016. Well done for taking that first big step in your own self care. So sorry to hear of your bereavements, you have had a lot to cope with. The only advice I could offer is that in some ways you need to accept how difficult your life has been. You don't need to be anxious about being anxious. After what you have been through it is normal to feel physically ill in response to emotional trauma. Best wishes for your recovery. X
Thank you much appreciated, I never thought I would go and actually seek help but it got to the point where the physical was becoming worse then the mental So hopefully now I can start sorting my self out properly after all these years. X
That’s A LOT to go through and it’s perfectly normal to feel the way you do after all of that. Reaching out to a doctor and seeking help was the right thing to do. Many people have great success with sertraline. It might take a couple tries to find the right medicine but you’ll get there! Communicate with your doctor about how you’re feeling while on medication. Side effects. If you’re feeling better or worse. Keep honest with everyone. No need to hide your feelings. You’re cared for, valued, and important. Everyone is rooting for you. Keep communicating with everyone throughout this
Thank you and sorry for the late reply , been a busy day, I have to phone the Dr's in 2 weeks with an update on how I am going on the meds it's only day 2 so still a bit early to say but I feel a bit of relief in knowing that I am not going crazy and the way I was feeling was because of something mental and not physical as odd as that might sound.
