Does anyone else feel discouraged and more depressed since posting and reading posts on this group?
Just reading all the stories makes me so uncomfortable and think “oh, actually I could feel worse”. And to be honest reading comments like “you’re not alone, you’ll feel better soon” doesn’t really help me.

So many of us here have found reassurance and direction for our recovery, we treat it as an invaluable resource.
Sorry to hear it has a negative impact on you, first post of its kind I can remember. There are many roads to recovery including YouTube talks, medication and therapy, you may well find what you're looking for among them.
I think people are here for various reasons and this site facilitates that. It could be for friendship, support, similar experiences, or just a sense of connection with another human. I don't get out much so for me it lets me talk to someone other than myself. 🌸
Yes that can be the case like you said. I also find that going through people's stories can foster resilience and encourage you to open up to different ways of thinking and appreciating things that may go unnoticed
It’s interesting you say that because sometimes I do feel that way on here!
Reading about some situations and seeing certain people’s posts stresses me out and kind of gives me new issues I end up thinking I might have?
So now I just am careful with what I do on here. I only click posts that I feel like I have an answer for (or can steal an answer from lol) and I do actually enjoy posting and getting the “I feel the same way” replies bc then I don’t feel alone and sometimes get decent advice. And more than anything I enjoy private messaging people on here. We don’t talk about issues constantly, but it’s nice to chat with someone who does understand and you can vent to if needed
Mustard a suggestion if I may. Have you been looking for anything that relates to u & ur feelings or you just reading it all without no protection for urself? See its almost a friend who will pour their BS & selfish behaviour & burden you with it & then u suffer even more but if you learn to not take it on then read on. But u do need to take steps to protect ur mind. I prefer to use words carefully & I can empathise with other without taking anything that could have a negative affect on my wellbeing.
Yes by all means learn & use techniques that help u but be careful & if u find other things are adding to ur load then stop reading it & clear the backlogs.
