Do you feel this way, too?.

At least once I day, I feel physically unwell. My chest gets tight, I feel short of breath and my stomach hurts. I do have lung disease caused by chemotherapy. I have been medically checked out and am overall healthy. I am thinking this is anxiety but wondered if others also feel physically unwell during the day. Thank you.

Oh ya .. I feel your pain.. I fell like I am dying of a heart attack 10 times a day and that fuels my panic attack.. I was intimate with my girl last night and my heart was beating and I kind of stepped back a little thinking I was going to have a heart attack,,,,

We need to keep pushing ourselves to do the uncomfortable. Eventually it will become comfortable the more we practice and teach our bodies that it is safe to do. I am proud of you. Yes, I do know how exhuasting it is.

Hi, glad your chemo helped. Yes, chest pains are normal, I hate them so much. Also, running to the bathroom many times.

Absolutely read Hope and Help for Your Nerves by Claire Weeks!!! It’s amazing! Whenever I get the slightest symptom- I pull out her book.

I will add it to my list of must reads! I am currently reading the Skeptics Guide to the Universe. My brother suggested it.

Hi, daily cardio exercise to produce endorphins that battle anxiety and depression helps . And proper sleep. I finished chemo a year ago, have many side effects. I am scared of the whole diagnosis, chemo and surgery.

Thank you. I wish you the best in your journey. Do you have an upcoming surgery?

I had it 11 months ago. I had a rare cancer. 1 in 500,000 odds for my age. Osteosarcoma of the sternum. I had 2 months of rough chemo. Lost 40 pounds even though I was eating good. Then they removed 2/3 of my upper sternum. ( breast bone) and rebuilt it with mesh and bone cement. I used to do half hour of military boot camp cardio then swim a mile a day the past 20 years. It was during the push-ups it cracked and the stress began. I have had 2 scans and am in remission. I have a scan this month. Only 80-90 people over age 60 get it in the country each year. Only about 10-20 in the spot I got mine . I know I should be great full for remission and I am. But it’s so scary. Can I ask about your chemo?

Yes, it is scary! The thoughts of it returning can be overwhelming at times. I try to stay as positive as possible. I am so glad to hear you are in remission.

Yes, of course. I was diagnosed with Hodgkin's Lymphoma when I was 26. Went through 8 months of chemo, ABVD. Had a toxic reaction to the one and spent 22 days in the hospital. It left me with lung disease. I have been in remission for 13 years now.

Tell me how to keep from thinking about it

It's a challenge not to, sadly. Find enjoyment on the little things. Focus on the things make you happy. Start planning little things into your day that bring you joy. Focus on the parts of your health you can control like eating health and working out. You got this!

I do my best but the 6 inch by 8 inch cement chest is always grabbing me like a bear trap.. I worked out with my resistance bands just now.. after doing a bit of business.. now I will ride the exercise bike.. so I try .. I visit my grandkids a lot and they help me.. I have a 50-50 chance at lifetime remission.. but I can’t seem to dare dream to get on the good 50 percent.. because of stuff on the internet

I feel like that 20 times a day... lol...

It's no laughing matter.. I have the thought of panic attacks and having a heart attack many times a day.. Some days more than others...

Saturday night went to a piano bar. Having a great time.. Singing away at all the signs.. I got hot and my haert was racing a bit and BOOM ruined the rest of my night .. Thinking I'm singing to loud, putting strain on my heart.. Etc etc .. So I start thinking about that.. Paniced a little and thought about it all night... booooooooo

That is unfortunate! Its really hard to overcome those body sensations especially when they seem so overwhelming.
