Depression : So yesterday i got some... - Anxiety and Depre...
Depression
Thats how mine felt for a couple of days after. I think its typical. I know I feel my bodily sensations more when I focus on them. Have you tried guided meditation? Best wishes.
Im just so focused on my ears all the time and i hate it so much i know it sounds so small but to me it’s so big i wish i could be depressed about something different but ugh and my depression comes kn only because of my ears nothing else but that and i hate it 😣
I get hyper focused too and it is exhausting and disheartening. I hope you find some comfort today.
Never put anything smaller than your elbow in your ear. That is an old saying but very true. You can easily damage your eardrum by sticking things in your ear. Some wax in your ear is essential as it is natural and helps to protect your ears. Unless your hearing is affected then leave it alone. Tickling is annoying but much than than a burst eardrum! Your hearing can be permanently if this happens.
If you have too much ear wax buy some olive oil and stick it in and after a few days it will come out. DON'T put things in to poke it!
I didn’t push it to my ear drum or anything i was just in the canal like the beginning of to the middle i make sure jot to go that far if anything. I felt a tickle and it might be my eustachian tubes cause i been having alot of post nasal and thick mucus down my throat 😣but you are right I totally agree with you .
It is easy to nick your eardrum by mistake as they are fragile so unless you want to risk deafness please stop doing it. Are you getting any medical help for your anxiety and/or depression?
No yeah i know i made sure to be very careful and not go all the way in ! I just wen to where the wax was which wasn’t so deep and i failed several times in getting it is probably why my ear feels sensitive or sore or irritated 😣 and no I can’t afford that 😩
Ok but there is a lot you can do to help yourself through googling and looking on YouTube for relevant videos. You could try herbal supplements such as St. John's Wort for depression. I haven't tried it myself but those who have sometimes say it helps them.
There are also online sites where you can email a counsellor and these are a lot cheaper than face to face. There are some good books you can buy, and you can read online about mindfulness. Just because you can't afford therapy doesn't mean you can't do anything. Just think how much it would cost if you damaged your eardrum.....
You've inflamed the area & it's angry & sensitive. Now DON'T do anything else to ur ears for a couple of weeks & let it all calm down. Also going forward seek advice from a professional , also irritating a very sensitive area of ur body is easily done but it will calm itself down.
I find that I get very little ear wax, whilst my boyfriend seems to get loads. The only time I seem to get any really is when I have an infection. I find the best thing, and usually it only shifts the dead skin, but again when with an infection, a bit of yellow wax, I put the end of my little finger and wiggle it around a bit, but only once my ears have been washed a little. All that usually comes out is some white dead skin, like you get when you rub your body in other places, like under your boobs etc. Try not to be so OCD about your ears, unless you have loads of wax, sticking out the hole few people will notice, unless they come really close up to you. Seek medical help if you can, if you can't like others have said, try mediation on YouTube etc, also try to stick to a healthy diet, what ever that is, but alcohol is definitely bad for you, whole foods and foods that aren't too processed are better for us, I also have a problem with MSG which is found in a surprising number of processed foods from gravy to crisps even just the ready salted variety. Also try to get some fresh air if you can, unless is makes your nasal passages worse, it might be that you have a pollen allergy or something. Stay safe Dee x
Sorry that should say meditation, typing is a nightmare.
