Headaches

I’ve been getting headaches for god knows how long now. I’m used to them and can function with them even though my vision spins and I’m in pain. I find it quite impressive actually but it’s not a skill that can be listed on my resume so I don’t mention it to anyone (no one likes a complainer 👍) I don’t enjoy taking pain killers or otc meds and thought that my anxiety medication and therapy would be enough to “cure” them. Any recommendations for what helps you with chronic headaches?

Speak to a GP?

I’m so sorry! Of course, everyone is different and I don’t know what is causing your headaches. Mine is from muscle tension from anxiety.

I started having headaches that last 3 days at times and sometimes 3 different headaches within 8 days.

I went to my doctor. She told me to take ibuprofen and muscle relaxer.

I’ve gotten a couple of massages.

I started going to a chiropractor and PT/rehab facility.

I’ve gone over a week without a headache!

Wow that’s great!!! Over a week is huge. I hope you have more weeks like this 🥳

Exercise, walks in the park, fruits and veg, no nicotine, limit caffeine, warm bath, massage: anything that helps the body/mind unwind itself.

Typically anxiety headaches are a result of tension. Anything that releases tension helps.

Talk to a GP as I'm nota doc.

Chronic headaches can be a sign of elevated BP, raised intercranial pressure, tension headache, space occupying lesion, medication side effects, aneurysm to list a handful of about 1000 causes. So I don't mean to sound unsympathetic (I am a migraine sufferer), but you really need to get proper medical advice and have anything treatable ruled out before relying on a forum that cannot offer medical advice.

Speak to a GP. If it's a chronic issue then it will be affecting your general health so best to speak to the experts.

I have headaches every single day of my life and my empathy is with you. I do need to see a doctor ,physiotherapist and chiropractor {not possible currently} as it does help with alignment and neck problems. Reflexology on a regular basis is beneficial . An icepack or heat pad helps too. Correct painkillers and ipobrufen is what helps me when its really bad but one cant take that daily. Nature and walking is a wonderful healer along with prayers to the healing light of Archangel Rapheal. All the best.🌻

Reflexology sounds interesting. I haven’t looked into that yet. I’m sorry to hear that you have headaches. I wish that I can take them away for you all 😞

Morning, let me know how it goes when you have had reflexology. Go on a regular basis as it helps with not only the physical but mental and general wellbeing of yourself. I would go myself as soon as I have funds available, looking forward to that day. 🦋🌻

i can totally relate i just had a brain scan done last week for my severe chronic horribly painful tension headaches( i cant even call them headaches, its more like severe, intolerable hours of pain over one eye almost daily),....

brain scan was normal- which is good of course but.... the head pain continues.

my doctor tells me its all anxiety related. its been years.

honestly only thing that helps me is puttinf ice packs on my head for hours, sleeping with ice on my head(i bought the soft packs that you wear like a helmet)... nothing else helps.

even the ice packs sometimea dont do it but i find everything else makes the head pain worse. the ice at least numbs it for awhile

best of luck to you🌸
