Following up on a song share from Veteran 250 inspired me to ask this ^^^^^ question.
I'll lead off with "Mojave" By Afro Celt Sound System. It "makes" me visualize the morning sun rising over the Mojave Desert in California. .You have to see it to believe it.. Especially the winter sunrise. That piece can bring me back from the brink of almost any depressive disaster. It also brings me to tears of comfort and joy every time I listen to it... YouTube Music.. I hope the link works.. Technology isn't my strong suite.
Oh, I love "Celluloid Heroes" also, but not so much as a comfort song. Another great song from Everybody's in Show-Biz is "Sitting in My Hotel." Grand tune.
I take it you're ding a play on words here, if so, I like it. Great way to express how some of us feel when we're out in public maybe.Never looked at the name of the band 'Dire Straits' from that point of view before. The lead, Mark Knoffler is just brilliant on guitar, l think more solo now. I'm not cleued in in any way to musical instruments, just love a good classy guitar riff when I hear one...
Sorry for picking you up wrong! Playing the drums must be a great outlet for you. I like to sing aloud sometimes, like you on drums I'm a half-assed singer.
Are you referring to all the violence? Am not long awake - 7am here. You could be sleeping as I reply. Things seem to be topsy-turvy since last year alright.
Good one, L. Since I’m really just a kid at heart and it’s getting worse, I guess that’s why “High Hopes” by Frank Sinatra popped up in my head. 😉 I don’t want to hear any laughing out there , guys! 😁❤️🏄♀️
Listening to music can be a quick route to getting yourself into a better mood, but it's becoming increasingly clear that there's much more to the benefits of music than just a quick boost for your outlook. Research has shown that music has a profound effect on your body and psyche. In fact, there’s a growing field of healthcare known as music therapy, which uses music to heal.
Those who practice music therapy are finding a benefit in using music to help cancer patients and children with ADD, and others. Even hospitals are beginning to use music and music therapy to help with pain management, to help ward off depression, to promote movement, to calm patients, to ease muscle tension, and for many other benefits that music and music therapy can bring.
This is not surprising, as music affects the body and mind in many powerful ways.
You'll Never Walk Alone. Theme from Sunflower by Mancini, Prelude to the afternoon of a Faun by Ravel, Bach B minor Prelude. Mary, Did you Know by Clay Akins.
I think this site should play some of the songs and we can have the option to use audio. that would be great to have on here for our moods when they start to dive....??
