what are some things you do to help you out of a depressive episode?

Hi guys. I haven't posted in awhile simply because I have felt the best Ive ever felt. But I just got back from a trip yesterday and I feel myself sinking into a depressive state. I am also very sick so I am sure that dosent help but still I am lacking motivation and pondering my existence. Any tips?

I would day that writing to this group, reaching out is a great first step. That is something that I try to do, too when I am depressed/anxious. Other ideas:

Breathe

Don't necessarily believe what you're thinking (doomsday thoughts).

Treat yourself with the same kindness that you would show others.

Remind yourself that these feelings are allowed and that they will pass.

I know it's awful and scary. Give yourself time and keep up healthy habits as much as possible!💚
