I’m a single mom with 2 children and my second child is autistic. She is 6 and still doesn’t talk. I’ve been searching for solutions. Life is pretty hard and I am worried for my daughter. I’ve discussed this with my friends, I’ve googled it and I even went to my mom for advice. And they all suggested taking her for therapy.
Since ABA therapy is the most popular mode of treatment, I found out several ABA therapy examples ( path2potential.org/what-is-... )online. I saw that a certified therapist charges around $120 for a session and I can't afford this. I read somewhere that some people get funding for treatment. I wish to know more about this. How can I get such help for treating my 6 year old autistic daughter so that she can live a normal life even if I am not around? Any useful answers will be appreciated. Thanks!

This is a difficult situation. The child's pediatrician should be able to tell you what type os medical specialist to see for a full evaluation. They should then be able to recommend the best type of treatment. Googling and asking your Mother for advice is not necessarily a helpful approach, as they do not have any professional knowledge of this condition.
