What is your past that you cling to? What is there to cling to, except that is familiar? But it is all misery, it is all tragedy. But people even cling to miseries if they are familiar because they look friendly. Even if celebration is knocking on your door, you don’t listen to the knock; you cling on to your misery, your tragedy, because they are familiar, you have lived with them for so long, it looks almost a betrayal to leave them and become happy. They can’t drop their misery to celebrate, they persist in it, they insist in it. Even if misery drops, they catch hold of it again and again. If one misery disappears, they create a similar misery, immediately. They don’t even give a little interval for joy to enter in their being. But remember, those who chose the new, live. Life means readiness to go into the uncalculated, unscheduled. Life means to be ready always to listen to the challenge that comes from the unknown source. It is dangerous but to live is dangerous. The most secure and safe place in the world is the grave; there, nothing ever happens, nothing new will ever happen. Remember it: don’t become a grave.
It might appear to you that if someone is so miserable why they cling on to life so tight? Misery creates its compensation, misery creates its antidote, and heaven is the antidote: “Tomorrow, everything is going to be all right. It’s only a question of little more patience.” A beggar always lives in the future. That is the criterion to judge whether someone is an emperor or a beggar. If you live in the future, you are a beggar. If you live in the now, you are an emperor. A man who is blissful lives here and now. He doesn’t bother about future. The future means nothing; it has no meaning for him. The future, in fact, is non-existential; this moment is the only existence. But that is only possible only for a blissful man. For a miserable man, how can this moment be the only existence? Then it will be too overwhelming, unbearable, impossible. He has to create the future. He has to create a dream somewhere, somehow to compensate for the misery. The deeper the misery, the more the hope. Hope is compensation. A miserable man clings to life. The happier you are, the more you will be ready to give up life at any moment. You can put your life out just like worn out clothes; it doesn’t matter at all.
Happiness is threatening and misery is safe for the ego. Ego can exist only in misery and through misery. When you are in anger, in passion, violent, aggressive; you feel a crystallized ego within you. Whenever you are in love, in compassion, it is not there. That's why we cannot love, because with the ego, love is impossible. That's why we go on talking so much about love, but we never are in love. And whatsoever we call love is more or less sex, it is not love; because you cannot lose your ego, and love cannot exist unless the ego has disappeared. Love, meditation, godliness, they all require one thing, the ego must not be there. Often time, we are conformed to social conditioning and formal education that makes it difficult to trust the unknown. You have to catch yourself from falling into habitual thinking, the way we were taught or raised to think of certain words or situations. But when you catch yourself, and give yourself a moment to reflect and possibly change your perspectives... It changes everything else as well. The very first part of making a change is deciding to do it. Then taking that first step. That takes courage. Determination takes over from there. As with many things in life, I wonder what would happen, if we changed the perspectives of things. Choosing to embrace or embark on things differently. First, you have to learn to love yourself and meditation will get you there. One has to begin NOT by loving oneself, because you don't even know who you are. Who are you going to love? If you start by loving yourself, you will love only your ego which is your false personality. Almost everyone loves his ego so much that he believes untruthful, shallow compliments from others. Meditation will help you learn to love yourself. If you meditate, slowly, you will get out of the ego and out of your personality. You will realize your real self, love will come on its own.❤️

The past has passed, the future is tomorrow. The present is a present for you to unwrap. There will be another present each new day. Hopefully we learn from the past. Be it the last hour or day , month or year.
Live in the present with an eye on the past and an eye on the future. But don't stare in either direction.

It is difficult I hear you and I’m glad you speak to your therapist about it. How is your nutritionist? Love yourself with a good meal at the moment, can you do that ?
I saw Glen was being very helpful to you, she showed you how to apply for essential things you need for your being. We can only do so much, you have to help yourself by following her guidance at least.

I'm going to be very honest here KoKo. There are times when I look to the future and then stop and think and realise it's a complete waste of energy.
So today I went out for a powerwalk and I do have plans for tomorrow but I certainly don't have plans for a long way ahead. I'm living day by day and enjoying each one the best I can. Life's to short to waste it.

Thank you Alicia for sharing your true feeling with me.❤️ From time to time I’m guilty of that too. I think of my mom on pacemaker and the question what if is inevitable! But I know for now she is living well with a changed diet and happy with my dog. She enjoys her retirement with my dad and goes on medical checkup as directed. We only can know the now and won’t waste our joy by the tricky mind into thinking the worst. I’m cherishing each moment on earth and appreciate every small little thing. I’m glad you managed always for beautiful, relaxing walk. Life can be simple like that 🤗❤️❤️❤️☀️🌻🌹🌼🌈xxxx

Yes Alicia, no point of living inauthentic in all aspect of life. The important thing is we accept reality and make real changes such as diet in my mom’s case. They are planning a trip now once the covid-19 pandemic travel rule is lifted in their original country. We do want we can while enjoying our lives on this planet. ❤️❤️❤️☀️🌻🌹🌸🌺🌈xxxx

I usually don't buy into compliments from others. I don't see myself the way they do. And even if I did, I'm too damn modest to admit it. Maybe I just don't know how to appreciate it since it happens so rarely. Based of what you said at the end there, does that mean I don't love myself? Or love myself enough? I think too much of it would lead to delusion. I think I'm just ok with who I am. It's not a love/hate relationship
