Hello welcome to this kind and supportive community ❤️- Hiba
Hello I am not sure what you are feeling as you didn't mention what that was. But something you can do for anxiety in the immediate moment is to try and ground yourself there are many techniques out there to accomplish this. Try out as many as you can and find what works for you. I will attach an article at the end of this. Second, if your anxiety has gotten really bad then seeing a therapist might be necessary. They can help you in learning new coping skills and also help you figure out the reasons why you are having such bad anxiety. So start to look in your area and see what you have available to you. your PCP is a great place to start.

I hope this helps.
Thank you so much! My anxiety has gotten awful & im barely able to sleep if any. It makes my head feel so funky I’m always scared there’s something going on in there
That sounds like anxiety and it's pretty common to jump to thinking you are dying or any other catastrophizing thought. That is normal. Try some of those grounding techniques and see what works for you. And do seek out a therapist. It will help. Oh and last there is one other thing you can try. it's called squared breathing. Basically you inhale for 4 seconds, hold your breathe for 4 seconds, exhale for 4 seconds, and hold your breathe again for 4 seconds. Then you just repeat this until you feel better.
Hi! Welcome to acceptance. 💖
I can understand the feeling of overwhelm or surety or doubt overthinking can cause havoc to our senses pressure overload the need for working through suggestions or in carnality fear of the unknown emotional stresses setting new intentions clearing space with positive activations calming the conscious belief in self taking holding being aware of breathing helps raise energy which is key to physical mental awareness momentum mediation self relaxing 5 deep breaths from through the nose breathing in through the belly exhaling also declaring to self I am worthy of better self respect most important to have some form of activity to get you in the flow state of self care be it listening to something interesting being active or getting into a habit of acceptance physical or mental activity its the energy of the mind and focus that is key to opening and relief which is not to take on to much pressure decompressing thoughts of not good enough you are worthy of achievement
Thank you for those kind words. I definitely feel the pressure building up when it comes. I try and breathe and relax but Idk if those help. It’s the constant intrusive thoughts that kinda send me down a downward spiral into freaking out and by the time I realize it I’m already in full panic mode or so tense my head feels like it’s so full of pressure. Which isn’t good for my health and I’m scared I’m hurting myself which just sends me into an even scarier thought process. This is all so new to me because usually I’ve been able to deal with my anxiety. I’m a very social, happy person so it’s been really debilitating just wanting to be in bed and do nothing.
Hi, welcome!
One thing that has helped me so much has been tracking my symptoms. I use a mood diary app (Daylio), but you can totally use a notes app or notebook/journal. What I noticed after a few months of recording my super anxious days was that they were occurring right along with my menstrual cycle. Just knowing that it correlates helped me feel in better control of my mind & that I wasn't being irrational but it was my hormones betraying me. Also check other possible causes-- less sleep can worsen anxiety, which it sounds like you're experiencing (it's a vicious cycle), as well as dehydration/lack of nutrients.
I know you said you don't want meds, which is reasonable, but have you tried melatonin supplements? It's natural & you don't need to take them every day, & it can help you sleep. In any case, I hope you find some relief soon.
I think that’s exactly what has been happening. I haven’t ate much this week or slept much at all. I took melatonin last night and finally got a good nights rest and I feel a little better today, I’m going to try to eat more today to help. I was advised that B12 and folic acid are good supplements to help so I’ve even started those today to see if that’ll help. The diary sounds so good I’m going to download that
Welcome to this place.
Don't worry despowell. As abnormal as you feel it is totally normal to feel the way you do. Many of us feel the same way. Do not fret. We are all here for you.
Hang in there, and breathe in and breathe out,🙏😎
What are you feeling.
I feel constant shaking, my beard feels like it’ll explode at times. I’m fearful of giving myself a heart attack or stroke from the constant high BP due to the overwhelming panic. Extremely fearful of death and it just sends me down a crazy spiral. All of these symptoms have gotten this bad just this week. I was able to manage my anxiety very well until this week.
I know what you are saying I've been through to many times. We weren't meant to have this kind of life. The only way I know how to have peace, love, joy is when l'm spend ing all of me time in the Lord. I found this bible study call ( The christian meditations journal) on amazon. It's been really good. Helping me. You'll be in my thoughts and prayers 🙏
I will look into that as well. I need something because this has been taking such a heavy toll on me that I’m barely functioning!
Today did morning meditation and worshipping the Lord with love. Had my daughter help spring clean with me my bedroom. I live in the mountains,, dust is charm.. copd and dust don't go well together when wind is charm too. Us mountain people😀. But it help to feel good inside.
Glad you have joined this group.
