Sertraline

Hi everyone. Can someone please tell me their experience coming off sertraline. I was on 50mg and I gained 2 stone and now I’m coming off it. What side affects did you have and how long did it take for the weight to come off

Sorry you had bad side affects, I was on 200 mg for 10 years, never had any lasting side affects, first few weeks I craved milk and chocolate, that went away. I had to come off it as I built up a tolerance to it. After that Dr. put me on Zoloft, don't remember any side affects, it lasted for 10 years and the tolerance happened again. I gained weight in the menopause and it has been very difficult getting it off. Only thing I can suggest is be careful with your eating plan, try to get some exercise several days a week. The only side effect I had with Zoloft (sertraline) was some minor sexual issue an one time when I ran out of it on a vacation. I experienced a lot of brain zapping and weird thoughts. I did a slow taper when I came off of it to minimize the brain zapping. I didn't have any issue with it causing weight gain for me, and maybe it's a male thing.
