I cant read a lot of posts, because I limit negative thinking, what we read listen to watch also programs the mind, I focus on the solutions this helps me !

I had no power over my life for the first 18 years. I am still affected by those years but now I have the power to affect the outcomes in my life! I have choices now. I choose to heal and grow. I will have setbacks and tough days but then I will move forward.

Like hypercat said we have google to find plenty of quotes. We dont need a quote encyclopedia. Holding in our problems will just make it worse. Give us some context about what the quote means to you and how its benefited you on your journey. Share your experience. Your title and comment about the quote today was wrong. It's about know thyself and not needing the approval of others. It's not about he said she said. Hang in there Ray we are here if you need to talk🙏

The quotes are wisdom and how to deal with problems, I do put other things on as well as quotes, and things about me also. The trick is not to just read the quotes but look deeper and understand them, Quotes from mother teresa ghandi budha, pointless you say !!!!!!

Just sharing wisdom, if we talk about our problems all day long, it wont solve them. I have control of myself through searching for ways to do it, Quotes etc reach more people than endless problem thoughts, read my profile for info on me. I do put things about myself on here !

Hi gerrerd,

I appreciate what you're doing, but people come to this forum to seek help and advice and ideas that might help them with their own journeys. Talking about our problems on here helps release stress, it may be a cry for help, a need for reassurance, to rant and the fact that it can be done anonymously is a why they open up and are so frank. If you don't talk about problems how are you going to find solutions. I have replied to other users giving them solutions and giving reassurance. Yes, there is only so much bad news I can take that at times I need to take a break from the forum. Did you know therapists need to do a detox from all the negative things they hear.

Your posts may be helpful to some people but you can't calm the majority. If it's to help younger people then you need to give them guidance on how to apply it. In my opinion to apply it you need to meditate on it and and think on what it means until it sinks in and the penny drops. Your posts are a valuable contribution to this forum and the people who disagree have a valid point from their perspectives, but maybe the words used to convey them were a little unkind. Keep posting your quotes, and maybe add your own commentary on them help others connect with you.

I wouldn’t stop to criticize your style. There are other forums that might be fine with that but this one isn’t. We’re here to give support when we can and get it when we need it. That’s it. As long as you are sincere and from the heart, and you most certainly are, we need you here.

Gerrerd, please don't change a thing and keep posting like you do...you are so unique to me and your posting, quotes mean so much to me aswell..some of your quotes find me at the right time when i exactly need to read as such .I have you as a favourite so each time you post I get the notification and I always immediately go and read your post...I haven't missed one...ive by passed all the negative feedback on this thread..not paying attention to that I don't need that...I need you, and all I want to say is, please continue with your quotes, you are amazing!
