Why Do My Posts Keep Getting Deleted?

I'm following the rules, being respectful, and inviting people into the conversation. Why do my posts keep getting deleted, especially the ones where I'm crying out for the most help?

Hi I haven't seen any of your posts breaking any rules so I am at a loss. The only thing I can suggest is if others use your posts to start arguments then admin will sometimes delete the whole thing. Also have a look at the link.

If you still can't see a reason you need to contact admin direct to ask them. I hope you find some answers.

Yes I agree. Promoting your own religion isn't allowed on here. This is because the site is open equally to all regardless of belief or non belief in any particular religion. Unfortunately even innocuous posts about religion can and does lead to a few breaking the site rules.

hypercat54 Except I'm not proselytizing. I'm just expressing obsessive-compulsive worries related to spirituality.

Yes I understand and that's fine. The problem is a few individuals always take the opportunity to proselytize and start preaching to the rest of us. Saying things like Jesus is the only way, if you pray to him you will cure your depression and anxiety, Telling people they won't go to heaven unless they believe and so on. I have seen this many times on here.

That is why the post can be deleted because proselytizing is against site rules. Religion is also a trigger for many of us who have suffered at the hands of it. As this site is for all equally regardless of religious beliefs or lack of them it often causes arguments here. Have a look at admin's previous posts about this.

I’m sorry that is happening; I can see how that would feel awful, especially if carefully following the rules is a strong desire. Do you get some kind of notice from the moderators when it happens?

I’ve never checked on my old ones. I haven’t been here too long, though. Maybe mine are disappearing, too. The rules said not to discriminate based on religion. Some people might find the whole topic of religion distasteful and report any mention. I don’t know. I only mention it in response to people asking spiritual, meaning-of-life type questions. You ask those. Is it your original posts, or replies to others?

propjock Yeah. I ask a lot of spirituality-related questions because I struggle with spiritual trauma and spiritual OCD. If the problem is that "spirituality talk" might make some people a little uncomfortable, that is totally unfair to those of us who need to process our own spiritual traumas and existential thoughts.
