2 weeks into SSRI and feeling worse?

I am restarting my SSRI after about 6 months of being off a therapeutic dose. 2 weeks in and I am feeling awful; hopelessness and depression, physical side effects.

I know the first few weeks can suck. Just looking for some encouragement or a sanity check here. I don't want to just stop taking it as I believe I need it. Thanks.

If it is increasing depressive symptoms then reach out to your treatment team, especially if suicidal thoughts seem to be increasing. Was this the same SSRI you've taken before.. was it helpful then? same dosages? did you experience the same side effects?

The 1st two weeks suck but then it kicks in and you should feel better. Keep going as you are strong and you will get through this.
