More drama

My son is gone again he cussed me out yesterday I can't take it no more I have tried to help him. I have my own issues, I'm close to having a breakdown and I cant even fix myself. He is mean and selfish etc plus have mental issues just too much for me to bare. I gave him several chances, I will not allow him to stress me out until I leave this earth. I deserve happiness and peace.

You do deserve to be happy. Sometimes all we can do is pass knowledge and help where we can but we can never control others actions. I know he is your son and you will always love him but if he is able to take care of himself, let him make his own mistakes and learn from them and help where you can.

I'm so sorry to hear about this situation but glad you are here to get some support and encouragement. Though it is hard when our relationships with our children are not going well, we also have to recognize when we can't fix/change the relationship. It takes both parties to want to make a relationship healthy. So if he is not willing/able then there is not much you can do at this point. Are you concerned about him returning or can he stay away if that is the best thing for now?

Hi, I dont want him to return honestly but I do hope that he gets help with finding his own place. I'm not helping with that I cant deal with his attitude

I'm in a similar boat... my daughter is the one who has extra needs and I can't meet them. Everyone keeps telling me that I need to "separate". Meaning that I need to realize that her problems are not my problems, but it's SO hard. How are we supposed to do that when we love them so much? You are right ... you do deserve happiness and peace.

I'm at my with end my house is quite now and I love it. I tried to help him but he is difficult and mean so bye bye son I wish him the best
