Officially unemployed

So I am now officially unemployed yesterday was my last day. I’ve suffered a lot of mental health problems during my 6 months at that job. As a person that suffers with asd and sometimes struggles with basic things and doesn’t know a lot of basic life skills it’s going to be difficult I’ve now become more awkward than ever. Even socially. I’m

Not sure what next job to get that will make my life easier and give me hope for the future. I’ve studied business and got a level 3. But I have no clue what job would be easy for someone that suffers with anxiety and is autistic as well. I’m open for recommendations.

I think you were right to quit the job if it wasn't suiting you. I can tell you that here in Ireland there is an employment support agency called Employability. They support people looking for work who have either mental or physical disabilities. They explore employment options that might suit you. Perhaps there is a similar agency in your country.

Suffering Autism you will have problems although many sufferers have an interest and are very good at that, and this helps them fulfill tasks they enjoy and move on accordingly. Consider your interests and understand your positive activities and use your interests in your work positions. Discuss your problems with the Job Centre, they can arrange assistance in finding a new position. You have qualifications and that may or not be your interest.

You need to consider your likes or dislikes especially in past employment use that knowledge to get something you enjoy

Hi Lukas. Whether or not you have mental health issues or autism or both, you have interests and perhaps passions regarding what you’d like to do. When looking for your next job, start from there rather than from the perspective of what you think you can’t do. It may be more difficult with the conditions you have but you’ve been beating the odds your entire life to get where you are now, haven’t you?

Thank you

I’m glad to hear that you left a job that you didn’t think was right for you. It’s a difficult thing to do for the best of us.

I personally think working from home would be ideal for you, a lot of jobs that you do from home require a business degree of some sort so maybe you can find something online.

I don’t know if this is something that could interest you but it’s worth maybe looking into.

Take care 🤗🖤
