I'm having alot of anxiety

The personal care home where I lived for the past 3 years is shutting down. The residents all need to find another place to live within a 30 day time limit. I would rather have my own apartment but it has to be senior housing and nothing will open up within that time. I found another personal care home. It's several miles away across the river in another community. At least I'll have my own private room. That's the good side. The bad side is there's a limit to what I can bring along because they have no storage unless I pay for it in a storage place. Also I'm not allowed to eat in my room like I've been doing during COVID. I'll have to eat in the dining room with other people. I'm anxious about that. I don't know yet when I'll be moving and I haven't done any packing. I have stuff stored in the basement of this place, like a microwave oven, that I want to keep in case I find my own place. One staff member (the less experienced one) told me I'm out of my anxiety medication that I'm supposed to get every 4 hours. Another staff member (the more experienced one) told me last night that I'm not out of that medication, that there is more on hand. This is not a good time to run out of medication. If they are out of it, the soonest I'll get more is tomorrow afternoon. That means more anxiety until then.

It sounds like you are handling a stressful situation really well. I think it's amazing that you could find positives like having your own private room in your new place. It would be easy to just focus on negative things so I think this is something you should really pat yourself on the back for. Do you have any family or close friends who would be willing to store a few items for you like your microwave until you find a place of our own? It sounds like you have taken all the necessary steps that you could at this point, since you're not exactly sure when you'll be moving. If you don't know the exact date yet, perhaps you could start packing up a few items every day, ones you know that you won't need right now, so that you won't be overwhelmed when packing day does come. I suffer from anxiety too so what I would suggest is that you take a few minutes every day to really focus on what you've accomplished and how wonderfully you've handled everything up until this point. When you do that, it will help you feel empowered and that, in turn, will help you feel confident when you handle the steps that lie ahead.

I’m so sorry. I wish i could do something for you but i too have some of the problems you do and no money to send. I just wanted you to know I care and can imagine how you feel. Try to be mindful of your breathing. Pray for your circumstance and for guidance, the Lord will hear you. You are not alone!

Sending you a big hug. How very stressful all of this is for you but you sound very grounded so I know you will get through. You might have to select those things most important and necessary to keep. The rest let go of and replace it when you can if the need arises. I hope it all turns out better than you are anticipating.
