So recently I've been feeling anxious again, struggling with a lot and I'm sure I have a mental illness more than anxiety, maybe to do with my personality, at night it's worse, when I'm trying to sleep I get a sinking feeling, sometimes I see/feel things, like I'll go in a sudden panic where I'll think someones in my room, or something is and I'll run out the room, now I dont want to sleep, anyone ever experienced this sort of thing? Need help

Hi @ryanactive23 I'm so sorry you're feeling this way. Lately I've been listening to beautiful piano Christian worship music on Youtube and it really helps me when I go to sleep at night. Maybe you could try that.
Also I think you should consider talking to your doctor and see if you can get some professional input with regards to the anxiety. Praying for peace of mind for you.
Hi Ryan. There are a lot of reasons that anxiety gets worse at night. You are definitely not alone. Have you pulled apart the issue of feeling as though someone or something is in your room? For instance, does this only happen in your bedroom (and if you go to sleep on the couch, you don’t get the same feeling)? Is it only present in your house (but all rooms) and if you slept at a friend’s house it’s gone? Does it happen only when you’re alone? Or only in the presence of a bed (as opposed to a sofa)? Only within a certain geographic region if a person or place? Do you notice any patterns in your activities on the nights this takes place (eating or drinking certain foods/liquids, taking meds at a certain time, exercise versus no exercise, watching tv or video games before bed, etc.)
Sitting with the questions a while might help you sort through some of this (I.e., figure out if this related to a person, place, mindset, etc.). Doing this lay help you better understand whether this a product of some overarching condition or whether this is set off by certain triggers.
