Weary.

I’ve spent the last few days researching painless ways to die. I wish I had the courage to go through with it. But even in ending my own suffering, I’m a coward.

Hi please don't talk like that my father killed himself when I was 6 years old so please think off all the people you would hurt if you did that.... 🌹😕👍😏📴

I’ve been there. Think of one thing that might give you hope - just one. We need you on this planet - we need to hear your story.

Why not research painless ways to live? They exist as many here and who have gone before here know only too well.

Are you facing insoluble problems, for example? Remember that anxiety magnifies our problems ten fold. Address the problems facing you, seek good advice and be ruthless neutralising those problems if necessary.

Have you spoken to your doctor about how you feel? He or she will have access to medications that can bring temporary respite whilst you work on a longer term plan. Also talking therapy with a mental healthcare professional can help you to recovery.

Then there are self help methods as described on YouTube or in books such as the Acceptance method developed by Claire Weekes many years ago and has helped literally millions all over the world to recover.

Seek and you will find: life can be a joy once more and you can reclaim your quiet mind.

Wow Jeff you are amazing! Never heard of painless ways to live before but realised that's how I survived killing depression, by seeking ways I could have a life which was at least bearable if not happy. It does work as I am always surprised I made it well past my 20's when I made the choice not to die but to live.

Wow again - you have so much knowledge and wisdom Jeff I am beginning to think of you as the Oracle. :) x

Thank you Hypercat54 for your kind words. You know the source of my knowledge, I just repeat what she wrote over the last 58 years, she speaks through me. But I have no knowledge of other self help writers so can never be an oracle.🤔 Also I was a wordsmith by trade which helps.

Yes that shows in your writing. You are very articulate. I love meeting fellow walking wounded coz we can compare battle scars :) x

The 'walking wounded' is a very good phrase, it describes perfectly those walking the Yellow Brick Road to recovery. I shan't be surprised if I use that phrase myself sometime, all good ideas should be recycled.😏

All good ideas are! That's what makes them good ideas. 😇 x

Well explained. I have so much wanted to understand this demon called depression but u just made a hundred page book or 10 modules in a single sentence. That is power!!! 📖📖📖

How are u

I wanted to say something then I realized that all these responders have beat me to it. I love what they all said, l well said. Please listen to them, they have both knowledge and experience

I get u there. The mystery though with me is that i had depression after a very dark time of my life. I have worked on things and I am getting way better without meds. How would u describe that one? I was just trying to find out if some people are born with it or it is something that just take over when u get to a certain level of nerviouseness bcz of stress in the heart? I was not able to get an answer but Ialso tried to find answers from Qoura but I could not

I have been there many times and it is not cowardice. We are hardwired to survive. So it is instinctive. You will get through this phase.

Been there! Done that! I finally realized that I must not be great at commitment bc I should've died several times but instead keep waking up to find myself alive. I try to find some humor in that statement just to deal with it. I know not humorous but I'm trying...
