New meds after bad days

So after a bad few days and extensive self harm my mental health doctor has given me sertarline, lorazepam and zopiclone I feel like a human pill bottle but he has said this will help with my mood 🤞

Sertraline works for me I’ve been on it for almost 7 years now along with mertazapine

No bad side effects at all for me but it took three weeks to kick in and when it did I felt like a new person don’t get me wrong I still have my ups and downs but pretty manageable after meds

Am curious that you take 2 x anti depressants (Sertraline and Mirtazapine). Have you put on weight? Mirtazapine is notorious for that or does the Sertraline counter act that?

Sertraline I guess counter acts that, I’m a builder so I’m constantly moving up and down stairs and ladders which might be why I’m not putting on weight, and probably the anxiety also in the morning I’m not hungry.

I have put weight on so I counteracted that by stopping eating I live on soup now

That doesn't sound particularly healthy. Not getting a healthy balanced diet potentially will do you more harm than good 🙁. I have put on loads of weight due to the meds I take (Mirtazapine being one) but I not going to starve myself.

I also self harm and by not eating that’s another way I can harm myself (punish) myself
