It’s easy to be wise after the event.

Everything seems ok and then little Mz Anxiety whispers ‘but is it ok?’ ‘Was that the right decision?’.

Was it the right decision? Did I do the right thing?

Right or wrong Anxiety will leave you doubting.

I struggle to make decisions and when I do I doubt the decision... even if it was the right decision. The worrying only stops when a new dilemma comes my way and the I start to worry all over again!

It’s a vicious circle.

Isn't that the truth. I actually catch my mind searching for something to worry about.

Thank you for replying. I tend to think I should avoid problem situations but they are like an addiction!

Yes, yes, and yes!! I hate that this happens!!

It’s horrid - I know it will pass but it takes so long.

in reply to Ladygrey

It sure is.

Self doubt, I know this all too well.

I've learned to welcome it, it's going to come anyways rather I like it or not. I've learned I have a choice to doubt or not. it takes practice practice practice to be okay with your choices and the outcome they bring.

I discuss my anxiety with friends, I see reason but doubt returns. I hope it fades soon.

I will try and control this - keep myself busy.

Actually don’t try to control it. That’s the break down, trying to distract or run from it, etc. This where most anxiety sufferers think they can make it go away, control, etc. We aren’t broken, we just process things differently.

Adhd does not have a age. I’m 47 and I just recently been diagnosed with it

Have you listened to Louis Theroux on BBC sounds - the Ruby Wax addition - recommended.
