I have noticed over the past couple months that my anxiety and depression are heightened the days leading up to my period and during my period. Does anyone else relate? Any advice on ways to manage this? My depression especially is noticeably higher around this time.
Thank you.

Definitely mention this to your doctor. The week leading up to my period was always pretty bad for me. I would be short with people and just really mean. I spoke to my doctor and I got meds for it. Of course, back then I was on the pill, so I knew when it was coming and therefore I knew when I needed to start taking the extra meds. Now I'm on the meds full time and my period is always a surprise.
It seems that your depression and anxiety is at its worse when the hormone progesterone drops , which is not unusual Progesterone moderates estrogen, when progesterone drops estrogen becomes dominant and can cause havoc ,
You can buy natural Biovea progesterone cream on ebay which is what I use , don't overdo it though because whilst progesterone calms everything down too much can cause depression
I have been experiencing this as well for about a year and a half now. I believe it is peri menopause as I am 49 and have never had this issue before. A few days prior to my period I become extremely weepy and overwhelmed.
