Today I’ve been feeling empty inside and have a tight chest. To make my self feel better I’ve gone for walks, it helps but I’m back to feeling the same after a while. I’ve tried distracting myself with work but I couldn’t concentrate because I was worried and couldn’t stop my thoughts. I try to make myself feel better by placing my hand over my chest and it helps but it hurts inside otherwise.
Anyone else have a similar issue, would appreciate a reply 😔
P.s. happy new year

It helps me to write all my thoughts down. I also have issues with my chest but its inflammation. So I take ibuprofen. I sleep hugging my very big blanket as well. Very comforting. 😊
Hi i have asked myself whats going on and how come I'm feeling this way where is it coming from and i go deeper. A stroke brain damage muscle weakness other things . Then i ask myself what or who helps me stay grounded ? My daughter and son. An image of a window open overlooking a beautiful courtyard. A view of flowers on a mountain. Music. Breathing. Standing outside briefly. I listened to a video and what stuck in my mind is"make the unconscious conscious. I tell myself to have an open mind and slowly slowly become aware. Therapy helped me. I wish you well on your journey
Hi Alia. It’s different for everyone but my emotional pain and fears seem to live in my chest just like yours. When I feel that tightness I know it’s trying to tell me something I need to know. It’s not about the symptom, though that’s what gets most of our attention. It’s always about what’s underneath.....what the symptom is trying to distract us from....
