It's like i have lost my identity. I feel weird. In my dreams i see myself screaming out loud " i have depression" to my mom. It's been tough to admit it. Hoje do i make this horrible feeling go away? It is imposimpossible to live inside my mind

I know it’s tough to admit it, but depression is so common and talked about now that you shouldn’t feel ashamed! I think you’re going to have to come to a certain level of acceptance about your depression in order to move on and begin working on recovery. It’s possible to live inside your head...it’s time to practice thinking positively and letting go of the negativity and doom. You’re going to be ok! It’s just time to address your depression! Sending you hugs!!

PS...you should probably see a doctor or therapist if you haven’t already done so!

I agree with Jimmyjimmy, anxiety_59, and GratitudeFirst: it's time to address your depression. That means you need to get to a doctor if you want the horrible feeling to go away and be comfortable inside your mind.

Millions of us have been where you are and I am very happy that I see a psychiatrist and a counselor regularly...both are the recommended treatment for depression and anxiety. You don't have to see a psychiatrist, you can start out at your generalist or a primary doctor, see how that goes. I am picky and prefer the more highly trained doctor myself. Just go, please, why stay miserable when you don't have to?
