Does a CBC test diagnose you with a disease or do you have to have more test done by a GP because i had a cbc test done and they said my thyroid levels were a little low but i have no symptoms the only symptom i can say i have is throat tightness but i think thats being caused by acid reflux
Question: Does a CBC test diagnose you... - Anxiety and Depre...
Question
Your were told to go to your GP so go and s/he will sort you out.
Yes indeed but my question is why wont they just do a throat scan to see because ive been dealing with this throat tightness feeling since i got anxiety i dont see how could a thyroid problem just pop up now after ive had several blood test
I don't know the answer but hopefully someone here will, is it an option to call surgery and ask ? 💛
From WebMD
Abnormal increases or decreases in cell counts as revealed in a complete blood count may indicate that you have an underlying medical condition that calls for further evaluation.
Your Dr should be explaining your test results to you.
Low thyroid can cause depression. Sleepiness, feeling cold, low energy.
CBC does not diagnose. It just is an indicator for certain complications.
Thanks because ive been worried a bunch about i just didnt get it because ive been dealing with the globus sensation for years and have several blood test and nothing never showed
Interesting 🤔 have they done an X-ray of your throat? Or discussed it? It could be acid reflux. But you’d most likely know that from the acidity taste that comes up with that.
No throat xray before or never discussed ot they always just sent me home saying it's anxiety but i never asked them could it be acid reflux but i have all the symptoms of ot from being gassy after meals , constipation , burping from anything and etc .
Chase;
the CBC test does not specifically diagnose disease.
out of range results on the CBC can be indicative of a disease state, but other tests would be required to confirm a diagnosis.
the CBC test itself doesn't include thyroid level. so i suspect you had a panel of tests, or a number of specific tests.
low thyroid levels can be indicative of a disease state - but that by no means is definitive. some people simply "run low". the question is how low (that's not directed at you). that's a question for your dr. are they low enough to concern him/her? and if so; what's next?
