Can anxiety make you have anger issues? Recently I’ve been having very weird angry issues randomly accruing Patience is thin to. I’ve been working on patience and anger my whole life and recently I haven’t been able to control it. Could this possible be anxiety or just stress?

I think anxiety can manifest differently in different people. For some, it may look like anger. Are you seeing a therapist or currently on any medications? Have you changed anything else, like your sleep schedule or birth control? There are a lot of factors that could be bringing this out. It could be a side effect of something, a result of no sleep, or a coping mechanism for some stuff that came up in therapy. I'd work with a doc/therapist to see if you can get to the bottom of it.

I take two types of anxiety pills and extra ones for every 4 hours. I tried therapy and I couldn’t do it. Feelings are hard for me to explain. And the therapist I was going to was not nice to me. And that’s where my anxiety pushed me into not going anymore. I’m very fragile but very protective of my mind. I like to keep everything to myself. It’s not good I know. I also have a couple anxiety animals that help me. Also this group chat has been amazing. I want to seek a new therapist I’m just too afraid right now. I tend to stay in my comfort zone and I know that’s not good however it’s the only way I can control it for the most part.

Our bubble of comfort may be helpful now but in order to grow and heal we have to take small steps out of it.

I’m sorry you had such a bad experience with a therapist.

Maybe try writing your feelings emotions and life down on paper so when you find a therapist you can give it to them and you dont have to go through the pain of trying to express your feelings

And yes I have experienced increased anger with my anxiety

Anxiety can throw us into lots of different moods

With my anxiety every time it gets worse my anger flairs so responding to people or situations I look up close my eyes take a deep breath and then respond.

Stress will cause my patience to just about run out especially if faced with time limits, like at work. It’s stress for me. Wishing you some peace of mind...🌺

I was told by my psych doctor that depression is anger turned inward, & that one of the reasons they show up in a pair is that triggering anxiety can cause anger.

My PTSD manifests in rage attacks.

Hope this helps.

I’d have to say yes when it comes to anxiety I personally lose my patience become irritable next phase is anger. One can only deal with so many things at one time before we either crumble or crack

Stress and anxiety have a cumulative affect on the body. So your short temper could be from the anxiety releasing adrenaline in the body. Adrenaline taxes the body making you tired. When you are tired you can’t think fast and lose patience easier. So you wind up snapping at people. I know I used to have problems.

How did you fix it

in reply to Katelan24

I can’t say I have fixed it completely. I have gotten older. I find I have more patience. At the end of the day we are human. It takes time.

Hi Katelan24 I posted an article yesterday on the solar system shift. It’s causing anger and irritation in a lot of people. I was telling my sister how I feel so irritated and she and her customers were talking about how they feel this way too. You should read the article.

Anxiety can manifest in many different ways. It is so important to see a professional if you are struggling beyond your normal so that you can get proper help. All kinds of imbalances in our bodies can create mood swings, not only depression and anxiety. I don't believe in 'just' stress, stress can cause a lot of issues in our bodies. If you are having an issue with stress of any level that is creating mood swings, it needs to be looked at.

I pray that you get some relief and answers soon, please look into medical diagnoses to rule out anything physical going on.
