Return to "normal" day 2.

Okay all. Today was my second day back at work after my extended leave to deal with the anxiety and panic attacks. Definitely went better than yesterday. Yes, I still threw up before work (one of my most common nervous reactions). I still felt lots of anxiety and slightly panicky, albeit nowhere near as bad as yesterday. I was concerned that it would get worse so I did take a Xanax so I wouldn't have to wait for it to kick in if I was suddenly overwhelmed with panic. That said, my work has been making it very easy on me. Right now I'm just getting projects, and to be honest, I'm happy about it. I feel like they are treating me with kid gloves, but if that what it takes for me to fully return to 100%, so be it.

That’s amazing! I don’t know you personally but I am proud of you and what you are accomplishing. Going back to work is a big step and I’m glad that you were able to do that and have a relatively easy transition back into it:)

Thank you! I admit, in the back of my head I'm wondering how long it will last (easing me back in), but for now, I'm taking it one say at a time.

Glad it is going so smoothly. I an only wish that my workplace will have the kid gloves on when I return. Your doing great you showed up and doing what needs to be done :)

Dear Blue.....I don’t know you but I am proud of you. Just the act of returning to work after being out to deal with emotional issues is a triumph that not everyone can make happen. I went through the exact same thing 18 months ago and am now an integral part of the team at work, as you will be. The nerves and that panicky feeling are temporary. The more you let yourself feel them the quicker they will abate....

Thank you so much Catsamaze! I think it's sort of a downer that I feel so accomplished doing something I've been doing for 24 years (going to the office), but that's where I am in life, and I accept that.
