Hi Celtic 27 has your issue been resolved? I am taking amlodipine 10mg and recently started experiencing tingling/numbness in my arms and face. I have been taking this amlodipine for years but trying to see if this could possibly be a side effect of this medication.

Hello Dibbles, afraid this won't be much help but i take Venlafaxine and Mirtazapine in what I believe are quite high dosages,225 mgm and 45 Mgm respectively. The only side effects I have is that the Mirtazapine i suspect helps me sleep pretty well (welcome side effect) and i have a hand tremor which was quite bad when i took Lithium and i suspect altho now much milder might be due to the Venlafaxine. On the other hand the tremor might be due just to age (I'm 77).From reading many posts on side effects it is difficult to know what side effects are due to which drugs as they vary so much from individual to individual and are also affected by body weight.. The only reason I can blame lithium for my hand tremor is that I've had two periods when I took it and both times I got a hand tremor which stopped , or was much less when I stopped taking it. If one reads the leaflets which come with most drugs almost any drug can cause almost every side effect one can imagine. At the end of the day when you're taking more than one drug how do you know which one is causing a side effect, or is it a side effect caused by the combination of the drugs ?

Call your doctor's office and ask about side effects from the combination. There's a whole database they have for that kind of thing.
