Okay so I have a weird question. Does anyone else wake up feeling anxious? Like anxiety about the day or something else, than have a hard time just laying in bed relaxing. For some reason whenever my anxiety is bad this happens. If I wake up earlier than I need to I get anxious about just laying in bed, like I need to be doing something else when I don’t. I just want to relax but my anxiety makes it difficult to. Anyone else experience this?

My,
Right now I wake up feeling really Tired and Sleepy, after I just slept..
People on the phone say Sorry for waking you up, when I have already slept..
If anyone has any ideas why this is happening, or what I might try to stop it, Please let me know.. I really dislike this symptom and feeling this way...

Do you have sleep apnea? Do you have a CPAP? When I got one it was life changing.
You're making me think..
I smoked heavily for years then had two Pulmonary Embolisms nearly dying both times, had Massive difficulty breathing for years, out of breath and sweating profusely in public.
I'll look into this and I think I might even shop for a CPAP Machine today.
William Shatner sleeps with one every night..
Thanks so much for the idea !!!
Maybe this is also why I slept about one hour a night for 12 years..

See a sleep doctor so they can make sure you get the right treatment.
Bad sleep will definitely contribute to your depression.
Good luck! I hope you get some relief.
Okay, will Do !!
Cpaprx will be calling Monday to help me with a prescription and the purchase of a$500 CPAP Machine kit. I realized later that my nose is always completely blocked 80% of the time, so I haven't been getting any air when I sleep !! OMGOODNESS

😱
It can be from stress it could be from sleep apnea. Has anyone ever told you you snore?
My DBT therapist called it “waking up in emotion mind”. I wake up like this every day. She suggested keeping a cold pack by my bed to put on the side of my face and neck to bring my heart rate down and slow down my thoughts.
I’m not like this all the time. It’s usually after I’ve had a bad panic attack or anxiety attack and it can vary on how many days it stays for. It’s frustrating but I will have to try the ice pack thing. I know my psychiatrist suggested something similar when having a panic attack she said to lay down and elevate your feet but to put the cold compress around my neck or forehead.
I really relate to this - I've been waking up with a knot of anxiety in my chest every day for the past couple of weeks. The physical feeling of tightness makes it impossible to relax or go back to sleep. Deep breathing sometimes helps, but not always. I recently started taking a high dose of prozac and am wondering if it could be related. But am scared to experiment with going off the prozac for fear that my depression will worsen.
Please talk to your doctor before going off Prozac. It could be contributing to increased anxiety but it may not. I take Effexor and Wellbutrin. You might need another medication in addition to the Prozac. Or you may need to switch meds but it’s important to ween off slowly so you don’t have adverse withdrawal symptoms.
Do try an ice or cold pack on your face or neck when you are having a panic attack. That might help calm things down.
